The Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), the export promotion arm of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), has partnered with the Department of Tourism’s Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) for the former’s Manila FAME Luxe Escape raffle promo.
This covers the Manila FAME shows in April and October this year. For the April show, TPB has organized a five-day vacation around the beautiful islands of Cebu and Bohol that include a tour to these tourist destinations and cultural sites, as well as visits to the workshops of some Cebu-based Manila FAME exhibitors.
As the major prize of the Luxe Escape raffle promo, this will include round-trip airfare, transport, and 5D/4N hotel accommodation. From a tour in Mactan Island, Olango Island, the San Vicente Marine Sanctuary, and Nalusuan Island in Cebu to the Chocolate Hills, Man-made Forest, and Tarsier Sanctuary in Bohol, the Luxe Escape program promises its winner with an exciting experience in the heart of the Visayas region.

The Luxe Escape raffle promo is open for all Manila FAME April 2018 overseas trade buyers who are, at least, 21 years old and are based outside of the Philippines.
Featuring the best of Philippine lifestyle and design industry, the 67th edition of Manila FAME will be held on 19-21 April 2018 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila, Pasay City. This biannual trade show will feature more than 200 local lifestyle artisans, exporters, and manufacturers from all over the country.

The winner, Pru Ellen McMillan, from the Australia-based company Community Projects Worldwide (CPW) received a trip for two to Donsol, Sorsogon, Bicol Region during the Manila FAME Welcome Reception at the World Trade Center in Pasay City on April 21, 2016.
McMillan, a first-time visitor to the Philippines, plus one companion will get to enjoy complimentary flight arrangements, a 4-day/3-night stay at the deluxe Siama Hotel, and a tour package in the beautiful province of Sorsogon.

KATHA AWARDS. In the recently concluded 63rd edition of Manila FAME, the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) recognized exporters and designers through the Katha Awards, considered as the most prestigious award in the Philippine design scene. UAP CONEX 2016 DELEGATES AT MANILA FAME. The United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) Convention Exhibits (CONEX) 2016 delegates visit the 63rd Manila FAME. The UAP architects from the different regions of the country graced the opening day of Asia’s Design and Lifestyle Event to support the Philippine design industry. UAP CONEX 2016 is a partner event of Manila FAME, which runs at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City until April 23.
DTI OFFICIALS AT MANILA FAME. Award-winning designer Ito Kish tells the story behind his curated special setting, Spring Forward, to Trade Secretary Adrian Cristobal, Jr., Trade Undersecretary Nora Terrado of the IPG, and CITEM Executive Director Rosvi Gaetos. Spring Forward is Kish’s visual take on the ‘season of renewal’ featuring handpicked local creations from the country’s craftsmen, artisans, and young designers. Ito Kish won the Best Booth Display Award and Special Citation: Eco-Design Award for Binhi in the recently concluded Katha Awards at the 63rd edition of Manila FAME.

SLINGSHOT PHILIPPINES 2016. Trade Secretary Adrian Cristobal, Jr. addresses over 500 delegates at the opening day of Slingshot Philippines 2016 held at the Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC) just recently. Slingshot Philippines is DTI’s startup and innovation ecosystem development program and a government-initiated platform for public dialogue and partnership, which aims to build and nurture the innovation ecosystem as an enabling environment with policies and programs for the startup and innovation sectors. The two-day conference provides an opportunity to gather in one venue young minds with big ideas; innovators in constant pursuit of new things to benefit their community; supportive investors who fund startup ideas; and the policymakers whose role is to provide an enabling business environment.
