PHILIPPINE PLATFORM FOR DESIGN EXCELLENCE. In the recently concluded 61st edition of Manila FAME, the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) recognized exporters and designers announces the Katha Awardees, considered as one of the most prestigious awards in the Philippine design scene. Its goal is to recognize ingenious designs and challenge Philippine exporters and designers to innovate and develop designs and products for export. The Katha awardees for March 2015 are Beatriz Accessories for the Victoria Clutch from Space Collection (Best Product Design Award for Fashion); E. Murio, Inc. for Wicked (Best Product Design Award for Houseware and Furnishings); Stone Sets International, Inc. for the Louis chair (Best Product Design for Furniture); and Tadeco Home (Best Booth Design). The Eco-Design Award, a special citation, went to Bambike Revolution Cycles for the Bambike.
