The country’s top product designs were given due recognition in the recently concluded Katha Awards in the 60th show edition of Manila FAME, the country’s premiere design and lifestyle event staged by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM).

(Best Product Design for Fashion); Paper Finials by Arlene Gaddi-Maceda and Arthur Gaddi of Paper Capers(Best Product Design for Holiday Décor and Gifts); Schema (Best Booth Display); and the Crystal Clock by Wataru Sakuma of MASAECO (Special Citation: Eco-Design Award).

Trade Secretary Gregory Domingo, Trade Undersecretary Ponciano Manalo, Jr., CITEM’s Executive Director Rosvi Gaetos, and local and foreign trade buyers graced the Katha Awards awarding ceremony hosted by TV personality Issa Litton.

CITEM is the export promotions arm of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
