A new breed of rising designers will showcase their design sensibility in creating unique and ingenious home collections at the 60th edition of Manila FAME slated October 16-19 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City.
Under the Red Box designer development program, young, talented and emerging designers are given the rare opportunity to work with manufacturers under the tutelage of Manila FAME’s creative team.
Red Box Home scenography features the junior designers: Rachelle Dagñalan, Joseph Rastrullo, Leeroy New, and Lilianna Manahan, under the continued mentorship of Manila FAME Creative Director Budji Layug. The Red Box presentation will be a collaboration among the designers, the creative team and exporters/manufacturers who specialize in furniture and home accents.
“We are nurturing young designers to strengthen the country’s position as Asia’s Design Destination and build a sustainable creative industry that is leveraged on design.” said Rosvi C. Gaetos, CITEM executive director.
Organized by CITEM, the export promotions arm of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Manila FAME is the country’s premiere Design and Lifestyle event that exhibits the finest Philippine-made products from home, holiday, and fashion sectors.
Manila FAME is the second longest-running trade show in Asia Pacific and the only trade event in the Philippines approved by the Union des Foires Internationales (UFI), the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry.
